Located at the top of the head, the crown chakra is related to our connection with the supreme self and provides spiritual enlightenment and awareness of one’s life purpose. The balancing of this chakra brings realization and completeness.

This piece depicts the Scorpion Pose (or Vrischikasana in Sanskrit), which stretches the front body and opens the heart, improving balance, concentration, and openness to being vulnerable.

Vult Cult x Unblocked - November 2022

Undergoing a metamorphosis from its mostly greyscale counterpart “Half-Life,” this second piece, like its name suggests– embodies total “Freedom.” Here the bright hues indicate that Patrick has reached his final form and embraced his true nature through his art. His expression is one of ecstasy, self-love, and pure liberation. He has literally “painted life” back into himself and is living on his own terms. 

The goal of this piece was to depict a duality between the light and shadow aspects of the mental health journey. “Freedom” aims to fight the stigma of depression and anxiety–emphasizing the joy and personal evolution that can come from something that was once dark and draining. That the darkness can even serve as a gift that guides us towards our true power.

After a year of pain and the unknown, my mom finally received her diagnosis. It was overwhelming and heartbreaking. She felt broken and was ready for a cure. She just wanted to be saved by any doctor that could promise her that life would go back to before the diagnosis. Sadly, there was no before just after and she desperately needed to be saved.

Save Me

Dystopia is a digital collage and an intentionally erratic expression of the inner turmoil Jason experienced at the lowest point of his mental health– specifically depicting the depths of extreme insomnia, anxiety, and depression.  The robotic feeling of not belonging to your own body or the turmoil that surrounds you. 

As he is also the brilliant vfx producer of the well-known Netflix show The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, I shot him against a wall of horror films with the Sabrina “ticket” in his teeth– further pushing the narrative that he is more of a productivity “machine,” than human, with his brain/creativity (literally) open for consumption.
